Day 11: Pueblo, Colorado (07/01/08)

We were heading to Pueblo, CO today. The girlz just got back from doing their laundry. I had done mine 2 days ago back in Rolla, MO.

We're looking at 5-6 hrs of riding, given gas stops and lunch. Well...we got into Pueblo, pretty late. We tend to take longer breaks than we need to but we didn't really have any pressing engagements.

Mother Nature decided to visit me. I knew it was going to happen but nothing you can do about it. It's really hot outside and as long as the bike is moving, the pain isn't as intense but once we stop, that's a whole different story.

The girlz were taking photo ops at the CO stateline but I chose to stay on my bike and let the heat consume me. It was the only thing that I could do to help relieve the pain. Colleen kept telling me to get out of the heat but heat is what I need. It's the next best thing to a hot bath...which I craved to soak in a tub.

Had some jack-wipe follow too close to me on a 360ยบ ramp in Pueblo. Talk about reach out and touch someone. I would have loved to reach out and touch him with my 5 fingers curled into a fist.

Checked into our hotel and Anita had taken off to a liquor store earlier and got a bottle of Patron tequila. OMG!!! We were going to play Scrabble. Whatever...we just drank leftover Tecate beer *aaaacccckkk* and shots of Patron and ate pizza. We had fun! At one point, Lynette said, "I'm drunk!" LMAO!!! Girl, if you're drunk...you won't say that you're drunk. hee hee

I did wake up with a headache. I prefer Jose' over the smoother tequilas because they make my head hurt the following morning. :)

Didn't know what scenery I was missing in Pueblo but when I woke up in the morning, I said, "okay...nothing really."
