It's 11pm on this great Friday the 13th evening. I love this day while most are fearful of it.
Well, got the hair chopped off today because I don't want to deal with it on this trip. Just wash & wear. Who knows, maybe I'll just keep it short from here on end. Not alot of people are going be happy about it but they don't blow dry my hair everyday! Helloooooooooooooooo!!!!
Getting up early tomorrow and heading up to Oceanside to help Colleen install her new engine guard on her bike. Going to have to take the long way around because not only is there the US Open but the San Diego County Fair or as I still call it, The Del Mar Fair will begin tomorrow and traffic will be a biyatch...and I HATE traffic!
Still fine-tuning my bag locks. The install just wasn't as easy as they claimed it to be. The locks don't work in the numerous directions as it claims but it does lock and unlock, which is the most important thing. Need to finish putting the other quick-release assembly onto my bike then pack the bag up and take her for a ride so I can get accustom to the added bulk.
On another note, I still haven't received my replacement boots from Ebay since the mofo tried to pass off a pair of size 9's (mens) when I paid for 8½'s. Looks like I won't be riding into Dodge with the bullet boot chains. :(
The way the gas prices keep climbing, I'm anticipating paying around $5/gallon for Premium. I've allocated $1500 just for gas alone for the 15 day venture. UUUGGGHHHH!!!!!
My sisters are feverishly working to get things in order for this trip, making goodie bags for the teenagers, hitting up the various Harley dealerships for donations, and most importantly, I'm still trying to get the rest of the girlz to take a pic of themselves wearing a cowboy hat.
Well, I'm effing excited and next Saturday can't get here soon enough. I'm sooooo ready to head out of San Diego.

Okay - 2 things:
1. How did you work out that much money for gas? I got 5,000 miles, 50 mpg = 100 gallons x $5/gallon = $500. Am I doing something wrong?
2. Just saw the Countdown to Graceland counter - which gave me an instant stomach ache and made me clench. Thaaaaaaanks for that.

Ya, I got about $600 when taking into consideration street traffic and average the mpg down to 43 instead of 50. Well, actually I got $580...
Maybe Renee is alloting $1500 for gas so that she can pay for you AND me, Jett!
whattagal, whattagal...
Silly little girlz! I am NOT paying for your gas. Hellooooooooooo!!!!
Yeah, so I over estimated but at least I'll have enough, just in case. :) I keep forgetting I'm not riding the Aero.
So, it's more around $700. That's being a little generous.
